Three things Ben saw on the running application that all read as "this is still
the tool it was forked from".
1. The upstream 50-page manual was sitting in the repository root as MmdPdf.pdf,
so it was the document on screen whenever it was opened or restored from the
last session - a full-page green upstream logo on black. It was never shipped
in the payload, but it was there to be opened, which is the same thing to
whoever is looking at the screen. Removed, and added to .gitignore so it does
not come back with a source drop. With no document, the application opens on
its own empty view.
2. Scan was in the title bar beside minimise, maximise and close. That is window
chrome, not a tool. It is a toolbar button now, next to Print in the file
group, with a caption in every label mode like every other tool. The band
button style it used has no other user and is gone with it.
3. The footer read v1.7.5, which is the upstream project's version. MMD PDF is
2026.8.1. Not 1.0: the pilot machines already carry a build numbered 1.7.5,
and an upgrade has to sort above what it replaces or Intune would read it as
a downgrade. The Intune detection rule moves with it.

Replaces the app icon and word-mark drawn by an agent with the official MMD
artwork (mmd-logo-red.svg / mmd-logo.svg, unmodified). The Windows icon is the
lockup's baobab disc, cropped from the same file - the only square element in
it. It reads cleanly from 32px and goes muddy at 16-24px; no official small
mark exists, so that is an open question, not a solved one.
Themes/MMD.xaml carries the values of the new MMD shell design system
("red plate"): F1F1EC chrome, E4E3DC rails, F3F3F0 around the page, D4D0C6
desk, 23221E ink with 3C3A34 / 767368 / 6B6A64 below it, C8102E red with
A80D24 hover and 8E0B20 pressed, borders E6E5DF / D7D6CE / C7C6BD / B9B8AE.
NOT ACCEPTED. The design these values came from failed an independent design
review on 2026-08-27 with 3 blockers and 5 major findings. This branch is an
implementation preview only and must not be merged until the design is signed
off.

- Services/PdfRedactText.cs: strip text whose origin falls inside a CoverAnnotation
from the page content stream at save time, hooked into PdfBurn.DrawAnnotationsIntoDoc.
Fixes edited values staying recoverable by text extraction.
- Themes/MMD.xaml replaces all thirteen themes; picker and accent strip removed; no dark mode.
- Rename KillerPDF -> MMD PDF across code, resources, packaging and locale strings; new icon.
- Remove the upstream author credit and the in-app install button.
